Moody's may lower credit rating of Spain

As it's seen Spain may face difficulties in re-financing its debt next year -- Moody's can downgrade the credit rating of Spain.

Moody's had already cut the rating of Spain's sovereign debt from AAA to AA1 in September, following the similar reason. And the threat of further downgrade cites the Spain is going through a major financial turmoil.

This recent comment from Moody's sent the European markets lower on Wednesday, euro fell against USD and Pound but later re-gained.

Retail Sales rise in November

U.S. retail sales rose in November for the fifth straight month, boosted by the holiday season.

According to U.S. Commerce Dept., sales in November grew 0.8% from October. November was also the profitable month for the departmental stores, who saw sales grew 2.8% in two years.

"This increase, which was well above expectations, shows us that consumers are continuing to ramp up their spending and are happy to head back to stores in the midst of the holiday shopping season that is so critical for retailers," said Jim Baird, chief investment strategist for Plante Moran Financial Advisors in Michigan.

Julian Assange bailed but not released yet

Julian Assange has been granted bail against the cash guarantee of £240,000 by the court in London. But he is not released yet due to a pending appeal against the bail decision, which lodged by the Swedish prosecutors.

Mark Stephens, Assange's lawyer says the case has now turned to a "Show Trial". Mr Stephens says the court will hear the appeal against the bail decision in next 48 hours.

Mr Stephens says:"They [Sweden] clearly will not spare any expense but to keep Mr Assange in jail."
