To the contrary to the recession while everyone's turning away from the bank loan officers, the large corporations are borrowing huge sum of money.
Like Microsoft is raising billion of dollars by issuing bonds at low interest rate. Few of them are spending money onto developing their businesses. Instead, they are stockpiling the cash right before the economy improves.
That's the new turning point; Corporations keep saving, waiting for the economy to perk up - but the economy is unlikely to perk up if corporations keep saving.
What really the FED has held the official interest rate to near Zero so that corporations would sell their bonds for the slightly higher return but most of the companies are doing exactly opposite to it.
